One of our newest offerings at Select Shots are TRASH THE PROM DRESS (TTPD) sessions. We are so excited about these sessions because they are so much fun. They are for high school girls (primarily seniors) that want to give their prom dress a fitting farewell. For seniors, these sessions are the best way to have something that no one else will have.
Our trash the dress sessions go above and beyond anything you've seen before. We work with you to come up with amazing locations, a rockstar style and the perfect poses. We will come up with a high fashion selection of finished images for you.

Say what? I just spent $300 on my daughter’s prom dress and you want her to do what?!
That is the first thought that goes through the mother’s head when they hear this, but really the session is much the opposite. Take for instance you spent $300 on a prom dress for her to wear for a few hours...you get maybe one picture of her in the gown, so why not get some professionally done in a fun atmosphere! These are portraits that will be treasured for a lifetime, unique and priceless. Plus, the session is way cheaper than the gown! An added bonus - these photos make great profile pictures for myspace or facebook!

The pictures can be done to your liking, you can do some nice causal fun ones, or go all out and get the dress soaked, even covered in mud. It is totally up to you!! Sessions can be done at a fountain, pool, field, barn, etc. Basically places you normally would not appear in a prom dress! The dress after the session can usually still be preserved and cleaned after the session if you still want to wear it again.
