We just finished photographing the basketball tournament hosted by Cave City High School and enjoyed every aspect of it. It is always a pleasure to work with the students, faculty and staff at Cave City. The new campus is state of the art and the hospitality of the whole community is unbelievable. The organizational skills and support operated like clock work. It began with the friendly staff/students in the parking lot, continued with the smiling people at the ‘Pass Gate’ and Lobby entrance, permeated through the helpers in the gym and bubbled into the ‘Hospitality Room’. There were so many happy, helpful volunteers in supply, you would have thought you were in a more populated city. When parking over flowed to the old campus, several shuttle buses made quick trips so attendees wouldn’t have to walk so far. We noticed one of the bus drivers was the smiling head honcho himself, Mr. Steve Green, Superintendent.
We heard wonderful stories about people spending their lunch breaks from their regular jobs to come to the school and volunteer time to help make this event a success. Much of the food (especially the desserts, my favorite part!) was homemade by family and friends of school personnel and let us tell you…it was mmmm, mmmm, good!
Now to the actual tournament…The Cavewomen were awesome. They played their hearts out all week making it to the final game. Unfortunately, they did not win their last game, but they won the hearts of the home crowd.

We are very proud of your accomplishments and the way you represented the spirit and pride of Cave City. We will probably see some of the same athletes real soon on the softball field. We wish you the best.
So, if you haven’t had a chance to visit the brand new Cave City High School campus you are missing out on one of the best things that has happened in our region in a while. Take time to attend a sporting event or school function at Cave City and support our future - the young people.

The polar Bear plunge benefiting the Special Olympics had a good cold day. Selectshots was there and we are offering down loadable images for the first time. You can view all 500 plus imaged here.

Well the roads where fine but the bridges are dicey. There was an accident on the White River Bridge this morning. I don’t know if anyone was injured, but there was an ambulance on the scene. Channel 4 from Little Rock had a crew staked out at the top of Ramsey Mountain. I am sure they will use the shot of backed up traffic for their background.
As I am typing this at our studio on HWY 167 I hear another ambulance going somewhere. Slow down people!

I thought I would add a post since it has been a while. Both Sheri and I have been really busy. I have been extra busy at my job and I am currently in Orlando Florida. I was attending the International Builders convention.

This convention is huge! I mean when they build actual houses for exhibit booth? Yeah that’s right, actual full blow houses. I was there representing Lomanco, the company at which I am employed. Go by Lomanco.com if you are curious what we manufacture. By the way I designed and maintain the website.
Well I am fixing to board. I will post a few photos later.

Here is a couple of shots of C.J. (A.K.A. Brittany’s Dad) arriving at Showroom Motors in Batesville, AR. He was pretty cold I think it was in the 30’s and he rode it about 5 miles or so. but he thawed - the hardest part was getting his arms back down from freezing in the ape hanger position.
